Launched in 2014, Emerald Waterways has one of the youngest fleets of river ships afloat on Europe’s famed rivers. The company’s Star-Ships have been custom-built to exceed guests’ expectations and offer such amenities as a heated swimming pool that converts to a cinema and indoor balconies that allow for the entire window wall to be lowered for an outdoor experience. Emerald Waterways is an excellent choice for both experienced travelers and the younger demographic, and was awarded ‘Best Value for Money’ by Cruise Critic an unprecedented five years in a row.

With its nearly all-inclusive fares, Emerald Waterways caters to guests looking for five-star service on a modern, deluxe ship and an array of local experiences. Our highly popular EmeraldACTIVE program, which provides guests the option to engage in athletic pursuits such as guided bike tours or invigorating hikes on every itinerary at no extra cost, draws travelers looking to combine the relaxaing nature of river cruising with the adventure of exploring a new city every day. In 2019, Emerald Waterways launched its first SE Asia ship, Emerald Harmony. The 84-guest vessel features spacious cabins, ranging from 273 ft² to 450 ft², a pool located on the ship’s aft, an Asian-themed Horizon Bar & Lounge, and an impressive 2:1 guest to crew ratio. Unlike most similar-sized Mekong river ships, the Emerald Harmony is built to allow access to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, meaning guests will disembark in the center of the action rather than needing to be coached in from outside the city.

Emerald Waterways will be adding intimate yacht cruising to its growing portfolio of river cruises when the 100-guest super yacht – Emerald Azzurra – launches in December 2021. The 360-foot long Emerald Azzurra has been custom-designed to cruise the waters of the Adriatic Coast, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, offering guests an intimate, boutique yachting experience. The yacht will call on multiple ports in Greece, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, France, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta, Spain, Israel, Jordan and Egypt. As well as exploring the major highlights in these regions, guests will also have unique access to the smaller ports and harbors only accessible by small yachts, giving them the freedom to explore the authentic local towns and villages off the beaten tourist track.
