American Cruise Lines carries passengers to the best of America aboard the newest fleet of riverboats and small ships in the United States. Traveling smooth inland waterways and magnificent rivers, destinations include the most historic, culturally unique and scenic areas in the U.S. All departure ports are conveniently located near major airports, creating an easy and relaxing travel experience. Now, with authentic paddlewheelers both in the Pacific Northwest on the Columbia and Snake Rivers and in the American Heartland on the Mississippi River, guests can experience the best of the American rivers in the elegance and comfort of the Queen of the West and the brand new Queen of the Mississippi, the first paddlewheeler of its kind to be built for the Mississippi River in nearly 20 years. Queen of the Mississippi offers a brand new way to experience the longest river system in North America by offering a never-before seen combination of 21st-century technology and first-class amenities, with the historic grandeur of classic American riverboats. In fact, due to high demand, American Cruise Lines has ordered two new paddlewheelers to be built, the first which will enter service in 2015 and will operate on the Mississippi River, and the second which will enter service in 2016 and will operate on the Columbia and Snake Rivers.ship cruising industry, with ships built in 2002-2012. Long established and deeply experienced in cruise travel, we have recently received world-wide recognition as the first to revive paddlewheel river cruising in America, particularly on the Mississippi River, a cruising region that had been dormant for several years. Last summer, we successfully launched week-long cruises on the brand new 150-passenger Queen of the Mississippi. In fact, due to high demand, we are building a new riverboat due to enter service in the spring of 2015. American Cruise Lines’ passengers are accustomed to luxury and a certain level of service, both of which are in abundant supply onboard our cruises. From the sumptuous meals, to the highly personalized service, guests are assured that their individual needs and preferences are being addressed throughout the cruise.
