CLIA set to celebrate its 100th podcast (UK)
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland, the cruise industry trade association, will this week release its 100th podcast.
Since its inception two years ago, The CLIA Cruise Podcast has featured the latest cruise news, as well as interviews with brand spokespeople and experts from across the industry.
To mark its milestone podcast, which will be released on December 22, CLIA will review the past twelve months and look forward to 2021. Host Andy Harmer, Director UK & Ireland, will be joined by the chairs of CLIA’s main Committees and Working Groups:
-
Tony Roberts: Executive Committee Chair
-
Janet Parton: Chair, Trade Engagement Working Group
-
Jamie Loizou: Chair, River Cruise Working Group
-
Craig Upshall: Chair, Expedition Working Group
The podcast has increased in popularity throughout the year, with downloads per episode doubling since January.
Andy Harmer said: “We’re thrilled the CLIA Cruise Podcast is 100 up and are looking forward to marking it with our respective chairpeople, who have been at the very forefront of developments during 2020.
“Of course it’s been an incredibly challenging year for all of us, so we’ll look to gain insight into how that has felt across the industry. We’ll also hear what the experts think will lie in store for cruise in 2021, as we set ourselves on the road to recovery.
“The fact the podcast is more popular than ever is testament to the resilience of the industry, and the determination within the trade to continue promoting cruise as a safe and enjoyable holiday choice.”
