Bordeaux Market Tour inspiration ahead of signature deck BBQ

I’ve just returned from a wonderful cruise onboard Star Pride showing off all things Windstar Cruises to our brilliant travel agent partners. Marking the third of our three Star Plus Class ships to return to sailing following the $250million pound Star Plus Initiative stretching, and the 6th and final ship to return to service post covid. The crew, as always, we just outstanding! So friendly, attentive and efficient and a real highlight alongside the food of course.
But my personal highlight has to be joining the ships Executive Chef and Maître D’ in a local Bordeaux market to pick up supplies for our signature deck BBQ that evening. They were both so knowledgeable and shared so many insights with our small group on why they were looking for certain ingredients and how we could tell the freshness of the produce. I highly recommend this complimentary tour, one for the to-do list next time you are onboard a Windstar Cruise.
