To access the online cruise training and unique trade resources, all Agents are invited to create and activate their own individual profile with us. The only requirement ahead of this is that you work for an Agency that holds CLIA membership, or as an Independent agent, you have set up your Homeworker Agency membership first.
We have two Agency membership categories available; STANDARD and HOMEWORKER. The membership benefits extended to individuals at each are identical – the only difference being the number of activated individual profiles they can host.
We also invite Colleges or Universities with Travel and Tourism courses wishing to access the training to join our ALPHA Membership programme, offering up to 50 activated individual profiles for their students.
STANDARD AGENCY MEMBERSHIP£320 + VAT (12 months)Up to 10 individual profiles can be activated
This category applies to any agency with a physical business address – including both High Street agencies or larger Call-centre style business premises.
HOMEWORKER AGENCY MEMBERSHIP£130 + VAT (12 months)Up to 2 individual profiles can be activated
This category applies to any agency based at home, with no separate business address. If both individual profiles are being activated, both individuals must be working together from the same home address, as the same business franchise.
ALPHA MEMBERSHIP£530 + VAT (12 months)Up to 50 individual profiles can be activated
This category applies to College or University Programmes.
You must create a login to apply for CLIA Membership

- Once logged in, complete the Travel Agency Membership application – available via this link – this will allow you to enter all of the details of your Agency, and proceed with your membership payment.
If your Agency is already a member and you are looking to activate your individual profile:

• New membership applications from 1st April onwards each year will be eligible for a discount on the 12 month rate.
• New membership applications from 1st July onwards each year will be eligible for a further discount on the 12 month rate.
Members have the option to select whether to pay online by credit card at the time of registration, or to pay later by BACS (bank transfer) on the receipt of an invoice.
Please note that the Invoice is generally manually following your application, so
there will be a small
delay before receiving this on email.
- Members opting to pay later by BACS are not able to complete payment by credit card at a later stage.
Please note that we are currently unable to accept credit card payments for membership in Euro currency. You will be directed to request an invoice and complete payment by BACS (bank transfer).
- Please note that the Invoice is generally manually following your application, so there will be a small delay before receiving this on email.
Confirmation of Successful Applicants
If you opted to pay online by credit card, following payment you should receive an automated email to confirm your Agency membership. We then encourage you and your colleagues to make use of the individual profiles you are able to activate as included within your Membership.
Please note that if you requested an invoice, we would ask you to send remittance advice on email to UKaccounts@cruising.org following payment. Your account will then be activated manually and we will advise when it is possible to proceed with activating your individual profile/s.
New Agencies will receive a Welcome email, containing important information to ensure they can make the most of all CLIA membership benefits.
Should you wish to cancel your CLIA Agency Membership at any point during the pre-paid 12 months of membership, no refunds are applicable unless the below cancellation terms as specified in the Refund Policy are met.
Additional individual profiles required?
We understand that some agencies with larger teams may require more than the 10 individual profiles extended to the Standard Membership category. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your requirements.
We work in collaboration with a number of agency consortia groups, and as part of your Agency membership application, you have the opportunity to select this and access a discount on your membership.

Any Agency members of The Travel Network Group or Global Travel Group are invited to contact email@example.com to arrange CLIA membership. It is not required to complete this online application. New registrations are welcome across the full year.
Membership covered by your Head Office?
We understand that many of our Agency Members have their CLIA membership arranged through their Head Office. If this is the case, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm the process for your Agency’s membership.
Looking to secure Multi-Agency Membership?
Should you be looking to enrol a larger group of travel agencies, we would welcome you to get in touch for a discounted group rate. Please do not complete the online application, and instead contact us at UKinfo@cruising.org to discuss how we can help.
I am an InteleTravel (UK) agent looking for CLIA membership:
Setting up CLIA membership in the UK & Ireland is a slightly different process from the North American method where InteleTravel agents affiliate to the Head Office’s membership. InteleTravel UK agents are asked to create their own Homeworker Agency membership at a discounted InteleTravel rate. This link will take you directly to the application (prompting you to login first with the same details as previously created), where you should add all the details of your personal franchise.
On the first page of the application where you enter your franchise information, there is also a section asking about “Consortia Information”. If you select “Yes” in the first drop-down, you will then have the option to select “Inteletravel (UK)” in the next drop-down. With this selected, you should be offered the Homeworker InteleTravel rate on the next (“Membership Options”) page.
I work in the Finance and Administration – should I still access cruising.org to arrange the payment on behalf of my Agency?
Yes – we understand that if you work in the Finance and Administration of your Agency, you may not need any of the usual access to training or resources at cruising.org. This is no problem. Once the Agency application has been made, there is no requirement for you to activate your individual profile - so your Agency still retains all of its available profiles. Do keep a note of your complimentary website login details, so that you can use it again at the time of renewal.
As the person completing the Agency Application, you will automatically be assigned as the Key Contact for your agency. This can be re-assigned via the “My Company Profile” page once a colleague who would prefer to manage these day-to-day responsibilities has activated their own individual profile.
I am a Homeworker – do I also have to activate my own individual profile?
Yes – just as with a Standard Agency Membership, following the creation and payment of your Homeworking Agency Membership, you are invited to activate your own individual profile. The first stage of this will ask you to affiliate with the new Homeworking Agency Membership you have just created and paid for.
