Mike McGarry

Mike McGarry oversees CLIA’s government affairs activities in North America.

Prior to joining CLIA, Mike served as a government relations and public affairs leader for industry- leading brands, including Royal Dutch Shell plc, Visa Inc., Harrah’s Entertainment, MasterCard Incorporated, KPMG, and Marsh &McLennan.

At Royal Dutch Shell, Mike led Group external affairs in the U.S. and was later based in London where he was head of Global External Affairs for Shell Chemicals Companies. Earlier in his career, Mike was Deputy Staff Director and Parliamentarian for the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee during consideration of historic legislation and investigative hearings that received international media attention.
