Kevin Swanson

Kevin Swanson is Vice President of Government Affairs for Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in Washington, DC. In this role, Kevin works to advance policy priorities aligned with the industry’s focus on safe, healthy and sustainable cruise operations and tourism strategies that maximize the socio-economic benefits of cruise travel.

An experienced policy and legislative staffer, Kevin served most recently as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to Congressman Nick Begich (R-AK) to start the 119th Congress. His prior roles on Capitol Hill include Senior Policy Advisor for Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Legislative Assistant for Congressman Don Young (R-AK) where he oversaw Coast Guard and maritime policy, among other areas.

Kevin earned his BA in Politics from Oberlin College and lives in Washington, DC on Capitol Hill with his wife and daughter.
