  • Phishing Email Alert

    It’s been brought to our attention that multiple email phishing scams are being circulated to our agents for either Cruise360 registration or membership renewal. These emails often state there was an “error” or “some kind of problem” with your payment and asking you to please fill out the attached credit card payment authorization and email it to a specific address. Some emails have also asked for a copy of a photo ID.

    These emails are a scam. Please do not send your credit card information or your photo ID to anyone by email. CLIA will never ask you to submit payment information via email, as it is not secure.  

    We have notified our IT staff and they are actively monitoring the situation. However, as with most scams of this type – which are becoming increasingly common in our digital world – the most powerful tool to combat these efforts is awareness and vigilance.

    Phishing" Fraud: How to Avoid Getting Fried by Phony Phishermen

    If you have already responded to a similar request, please contact the bank that issued the credit card in question and report it to them.

    You can report phishing emails to the following organizations:

    • Forward phishing emails to spam@uce.gov – and to the organization impersonated in the email. Your report is most effective when you include the full email header, but most email programs hide this information. To ensure the header is included, search the name of your email service with “full email header” into your favorite search engine.
    • File a report with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov/complaint.
    • Visit Identitytheft.gov. Victims of phishing could become victims of identity theft; there are steps you can take to minimize your risk.
    • You can also report phishing email to reportphishing@apwg.org. The Anti-Phishing Working Group – which includes ISPs, security vendors, financial institutions and law enforcement agencies – uses these reports to fight phishing.

  • Agent Quick Finder

    To quickly locate an individual on the “Company Personnel” list, simultaneously hold down CTRL + F to open a search field. Type any name to begin the search.

  • Auto Approval of Individual Agent Members

    To auto-approve pending Individual Agent Memberships, check “Auto Approve Agent Applications” and click “Submit.”

  • Have Travel Agency Membership dues increased?

    No, your Travel Agency Membership dues have not increased for the 2019 Membership year. They remain at $395 USD.

  • Help! I can’t print my quiz/course results; or I can’t see my score/name on the results!

    Not to worry! That language is a part of the course/quiz as instruction from our older system. We are slowly updating all of the courses to remove that language. You will be able to print a completion certificate for each course within 1 or 2 days following your passing the course. Rest assured that we have your score in our database and your passing score will display in My Training.

  • Help! My Account Has Been Disabled

    Accounts are disabled after three (3) incorrect login attempts.  To have your account enabled, please send an email to info@cruising.org with your full name, Personal CLIA ID# and daytime contact information.  Once your account has been enabled, you will receive a response to your email confirming this action.

  • Help! I tried to access my course/quiz and I’m getting “Access Denied.”

    Please visit https://cruising.org/travel-agent/faqs/online-course-faqs for more detailed information on how to troubleshoot your course/quiz access problem.

  • How do I update my credit/debit card information on file or make changes to my profile for Travel Agency Membership Auto-Renew?

    To review your credit/debit card information or make any changes please log into your MyCLIA profile and go to the My Company Profile tab or contact the membership team at (202) 759-9370 or info@cruising.org.

  • I Am a Travel Agency Owner/Administrator - How Do I Approve My Agents for Membership?

    To approve your agents for Individual Agent Membership:

    • From the My CLIA home page, go to “My Company Profile.”
    • Next, choose your agency by selecting the radio button next your agency name and click “Submit”.
    • Scroll down to view “Pending Agent Memberships” and select approve or deny besides each name.
    • FYI – scrolling down a bit further will show you “Company Personnel” and everyone who is showing as affiliated with your agency. You may see duplicate names and/or odd “dues paid thru” dates.   You do NOT need to update this list as we are working to resolve this issue.

  • I Am Having Trouble Navigating or Viewing Your Website on My Computer

    For optimal viewing and navigation, our website works best with Google ChromeMozilla Firefox or the latest version of Internet Explorer.     

  • I am not currently enrolled in Travel Agency Membership Auto-Renew. How do I opt-in?

    You can opt into auto-renew for future renewal years when you manually renew your Travel Agency Membership. Already renewed? To opt-in for the Travel Agency Membership auto-renew please contact the membership team at (202) 759-9370 or info@cruising.org.

  • I Can’t Remember My Password

    Please click on “Forgot User Name or Password?” on the MyCLIA login page.  A temporary password will be sent via email. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE YOUR TEMPORARY PASSWORD.  You must manually input the temporary password sent to you or your account will be disabled. 

  • I Signed Up for Travel Agency Membership but How Do I Get My Free Individual Agent Membership (IAM)?

    All CLIA Travel Agency Members receive one (1) complimentary Individual Agent Membership.  After Agency enrollment is completed, you will receive an email with a promo code redeemable for your free Individual Agent Membership (IAM).  Please check your spam filters if you do not receive the email in 48 hours after enrollment confirmation.

    • Upon receiving your promo code, login to the MyCLIA Page.  
    • Cick on “Join/Renew or Continue Membership Application.” 
    • Complete the Individual Agent Membership application.
    • Once it is time to pay for your membership, you can input your promo code.

  • If I have opted into Travel Agency Membership Auto-Renew convenience feature, do I have to complete a Travel Agency Membership application in order to renew?

    If you have opted into auto-renew -no, you do not have to complete a Travel Agency Membership application. By being enrolled in the Auto-Renew benefit this is automatically done for you.

  • I’m trying to join as an Individual Agent Member, but the Join/Renew button is not active on the application.

    First, make sure your agency is already a 2019 Travel Agency Member. If they are indeed already a member, please ensure your agency is successfully linked and designated as "Primary Agency" on your MyCLIA account.

  • Replacement EMBARC ID

    The EMBARC ID is non-transferable and non-refundable. If the card is lost or if you wish to make changes to it, a $29 processing fee applies to replace or revise the card after it has been issued. Please contact a Member Service Representative at 202.759.9370 to assist with the replacement card order.

  • What Are Membership Service Hours?

    Membership Service Representatives are available Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time (US). Call 202.759.9370 or send an email to info@cruising.org.

  • What Are the Requirements for The Picture I Upload During Enrollment or ID Card Ordering?

    The photo should be a headshot with a white or off-white background. It should be a JPEG file at a recommended 180 x 180 pixels.

  • When can I expect to receive my Travel Agency Membership Kit?

    You can expect your Travel Agency Membership Kit within 4-6 weeks of your membership renewal date.

  • When can my travel agents renew their CLIA Individual Agent Membership?

    CLIA Individual Agent Membership enrollment is open for the 2019 membership year. Have agents that are interested in Individual Agent Membership – click here to find out more.

  • Why should I enroll my Travel Agency in Auto-Renew?

    Enrolling in the Auto-Renew program means that for your convenience, your CLIA Travel Agency Membership will automatically renew for the following membership year. Your participation in this new membership convenience feature ensures that you never miss any of the great CLIA Travel Agency Membership benefits for the upcoming year and your Travel Agents can be among the FIRST to renew their CLIA Individual Agent Membership when enrollment opens. Once your credit/debit card is charged an order confirmation will be sent to the email address you have on file. 

  • Will There Be a Course Required for Individual Agent Membership?

    The State of the Industry course and exam becomes available in February/March of each year. This course is updated annually, and you must take it every year upon enrolling as a CLIA member.
