Don’t Delay! Only Four Cities Remain on 2008 Schedule
Fort Lauderdale, FL — August 25, 2008 — Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) reminds travel agents that September is the last month to join the fast track towards CLIA Cruise Counsellor Certification. Travel agents are able to earn up to 70 Cruise Counsellor Credits in a distinctive two-day program. Agents will advance their cruise sales knowledge by participating in a selection from eight CLIA seminars and attending a CLIA member line trade show.
“We have been very happy with the attendance and agents results thus far at TrainingFest 2008,” said Terry Dale, CLIA’s president and CEO. “CLIA is dedicated to improving travel agent’s cruising knowledge and sales; TrainingFest is one of the quickest ways for agents to achieve the certification needed to drive sales.”
A sample of seminar topics on CLIA’s TrainingFest 2008 agenda includes:
- Building a Smart Business Plan
- Customer Relations Management Made Easy
- Selling to Special Interests – Niche Markets
- Cruising – Knowing the World You Sell
- Cruising - The Ultimate Incentive
Still on the schedule are two cities new to TrainingFest 2008, Edmonton and Seattle. For those agents in the Midwest and on the East Coast, Baltimore and Chicago also remain on the agenda. TrainingFest dates for September 2008 include:
- Seattle, September 4-5 (New for 2008)
- Baltimore, September 11-12
- Edmonton, September 18-19 (New for 2008)
- Chicago, September 25-26
Fees for TrainingFest range from $35 to $105 depending on the number of seminars taken and whether the agent is a CLIA member. Admittance to the trade show is complimentary for all taking at least one seminar and for a small fee for anyone not participating in the seminar program.
